The problem

The reporting question behind the interface.

Risenfire needed a clearer view of who was booked, who had hours available, and where the workload was coming from. The project addressed an HR analytics and workload-management challenge, with the goal of replacing manual tracking with a refreshed reporting process.

Constraints

  • Bring availability, scheduled work, and project workload into one reporting view.
  • Keep operational reporting connected to its data source and refresh status.
  • Make the reporting usable for executive review and mobile access.

Approach

How the analysis was structured

1

Designed the Power BI semantic model and connected Common Data Service / Dataverse as the backend data source.

2

Worked on database management and data validation, scheduled refresh configuration, and Power BI Service lineage review.

3

Organized worker availability, capacity, scheduled planned work, assigned hours, remaining workload, and project details into a centralized reporting layer.

Delivered

Concrete report outputs

  • A Power BI workforce workload and availability dashboard.

  • Capacity and project reporting with executive usability and mobile friendliness considered in delivery.
